• This is an onsite/hybrid schedule at SFO on Mondays/Wed/Thursdays
Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Accounting, to lead and scale our B2B end-to-end accounting operations. This role is a critical partner to Finance, Operations, and Sales organizations, with ownership across the entire spectrum of B2B accounting workstreams including Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Record-to-Report (RTR). This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Accounting, and work directly with the Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable.
As a leader on the accounting team, you will drive operational excellence, champion automation and systems transformation, and serve as the primary point of contact for both existing and new business initiatives. You will work directly with Accounts Receivable and Revenue Accounting teams, while collaborating cross-functionally, to help ensure the integrity of financial reporting for B2B activities, while implementing a foundation for end-to-end B2B of repeatable and scalable processes.
Responsibilities
• Work directly with Accounts Receivable for OTC lifecycle of B2B revenue streams, including contract setup, billing, invoicing, collections, and cash application
• Work directly with Revenue Accounting to help facilitate requirements for timely and accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and relevant accounting standards
• Ongoing partnership with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to support new deal structuring and commercial arrangements
• Coordinate with external auditors and support SOX compliance and internal control testing
• Identify any RTR requirements with B2B to ensure proper steps are taken for new or updated workflows, including coordination with GL and Technical Accounting teams, including proper workflows to support month end close processes
• Identify any PTP requirements with B2B to ensure proper steps are taken for new or updated workflows, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing and payment runs
• Lead efforts to streamline and automate B2B payment outflows, reducing cycle time and manual touchpoints
• Support the business in ongoing initiatives around M&A and operational excellence, including international expansion for B2B revenue streams
New Product Initiatives
• Serve as an Accounting lead for new product launches, partnerships, and B2B growth initiatives
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, Product, and other cross-functional stakeholders, to design scalable accounting frameworks for new and novel transaction types
• Coordinate with Finance partners to identify implications of new contracts, business models, and commercial structures proactively
Automation & Process Excellence
• Define and execute a multi-year roadmap to automate B2B accounting processes leveraging ERP capabilities, RPA, and AI-driven tools
• Partner with Product and CEIT teams to prioritize and deliver process improvements
• Establish KPIs and operational dashboards to monitor accounting operations performance and drive accountability
Required Skills & Experience
• 6–10+ years of progressive Accounting or Sales Operations experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management or leadership role
• Deep expertise across OTC, PTP and RTR workstreams within a B2B or enterprise environment
• Demonstrated experience leading accounting for new business initiatives and complex commercial arrangements
• Proven track record of driving automation initiatives and accounting transformation projects
• Understanding of US GAAP to support Finance initiatives
• Experience with large-scale systems (Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Ads, NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent); familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Workato, Celonis, UiPath) is a plus
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex accounting concepts clearly
• MBA or CPA required
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting public market growth, M&A integration, or significant business model transitions
• Familiarity with SOX 404 compliance in a public company environment
• Experience implementing or optimizing platforms (e.g., ERPs, Billing Engines, CRMs)
• Exposure to international accounting operations and multi-currency environments
• Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization skills (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
• Experience in technology, marketplace, or rideshare/mobility industries.
