The Opportunity

Our client is a leading, mission-driven real estate private equity firm focused on the development and preservation of affordable housing. As a vertically integrated developer, investor, and long-term operator, the organization provides sustainable, high-quality housing to individuals, seniors, and families across the country.

With a rapidly growing national portfolio, our client combines strategic investment, thoughtful development, operational excellence, and community partnerships to create meaningful long-term impact.

Our client is seeking a Senior Corporate Recruiter to join its growing People team. This individual will play a key role in supporting full-cycle recruiting, new-hire onboarding, and broader HR initiatives while delivering a highly polished, white-glove experience to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a strong recruiter who can manage searches from intake through onboarding, partner effectively with external recruiting agencies, assess talent thoughtfully, and keep multiple searches moving in a fast-paced environment.

This role is well suited for someone with both in-house and/or executive search or staffing agency experience who brings strong business acumen, high emotional intelligence, excellent judgment, and a highly organized approach.

In addition to recruiting, this individual will support the company’s annual summer internship program and gain exposure to broader People initiatives, including employee events, offboarding, process improvement, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support full-cycle recruiting across a variety of corporate roles, from initial intake and sourcing through interviews, offers, closing, and onboarding.
  • Partner closely with the Recruiting Manager and hiring leaders to understand role requirements and keep searches moving with urgency.
  • Conduct candidate screens and interviews, evaluating experience, motivation, communication skills, judgment, and overall alignment.
  • Coordinate interviews across candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage applicant flow and maintain accurate, organized information within the ATS.
  • Partner closely with external staffing agencies and executive search firms, ensuring searches are managed effectively and communication remains clear and timely.
  • Support job postings, pipeline management, candidate tracking, and recruiting administration.
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking and candidate leveling using internal and external market data.
  • Coordinate offers, pre-employment requirements, and candidate closing.
  • Own new-hire onboarding logistics, including pre-start planning, orientation materials, scheduling, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Support recruitment and programming for the company’s summer internship program, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, offers, onboarding, and intern experience.
  • Assist with broader HR initiatives, including offboarding, employee events, special projects, and People Operations support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize Talent and HR processes, including the thoughtful use of GenAI tools.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, onboarding, or a related People function.
  • Strong experience managing full-lifecycle recruiting in a corporate, executive search, or staffing environment.
  • Experience partnering with and managing external recruiting agencies/search firms.
  • A polished, professional, and highly service-oriented communication style.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build credibility with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand different teams, roles, and organizational needs.
  • Ability to connect the dots, anticipate next steps, and keep multiple searches and priorities moving simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-urgency environment.
  • Working knowledge of compensation benchmarking and candidate leveling.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Genuine interest in creating an exceptional candidate and new-hire experience.
  • Exposure to broader HR/People Operations responsibilities is preferred.
  • Experience within finance, real estate, professional services, or another fast-paced corporate environment is highly desirable.
