Summary/Objective:
The Sr. Manager, Pricing & Contracts will lead AdvaGen Pharma's pricing strategy and own the end-to-end contracting process, ensuring competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance across all customer segments. This role directs the development, governance, and execution of pricing policies and processes, including RFPs, bids, and compendia updates, and serves as the company's primary owner of customer contract creation and administration within SAP iContract. The role carries direct accountability for pricing accuracy prior to system load, for the integrity of contractual customer language, and for the organization's readiness to respond to internal and external audit requests. The manager will direct cross-functional coordination, lead competitive intelligence, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership to drive profitable, compliant growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of AdvaGen's pricing strategies, policies, and processes.
- Create, draft, and execute customer contracts and contract amendments in SAP iContract, ensuring negotiated terms are captured accurately and completely before execution.
- Review and validate all pricing, including List, WAC, SWP, and contract pricing, prior to system load, confirming accuracy and alignment with approved terms before activation.
- Design, document, and maintain standardized processes, controls, and SOPs for the pricing and contracts function, ensuring consistency, auditability, and scalability as the business grows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests, compiling supporting documentation and providing pricing and contract rationale to auditors, Finance, and Legal.
- Review contractual customer language, including pricing, rebate, chargeback, and compliance provisions, flagging risk or ambiguity and coordinating with Legal on resolution.
- Oversee the Bid/RFP process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, approvals, and execution.
- Direct pricing governance, including List, WAC, and SWP pricing establishment and maintenance.
- Supervise communication of pricing updates to Trade Pricing Compendia, Medicaid Agencies, and the Puerto Rico Product Registration Office.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on competitive analysis, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Make appropriate price adjustments based on competitor pricing, market insights, and new bids.
- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements across all pricing and contracting activities.
- Manage and mentor pricing analysts, fostering professional development and strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with Finance to oversee rebate and administrative fee programs, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Drive initiatives to reduce chargeback discrepancies and deductions.
- Develop reporting dashboards and pricing/contracting KPIs for senior leadership and executive review.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for customer pricing negotiations and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to business development activities by evaluating pricing and contracting implications for new product launches and market entry.
- Continuously assess and improve pricing and contracting processes, systems, and tools to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, contracting, commercial operations, or finance, including direct contract creation and administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP iContract required
- Strong understanding of the U.S. retail generic pharmaceutical marketplace, regulatory environment, and compendia reporting required.
- Experience responding to internal or external audit requests involving pricing and contract documentation preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- SAP iContract system proficiency, including contract creation, amendment, and workflow administration.
- Strong working knowledge of the retail generic pharmaceutical business, including pricing structures, rebates, and chargeback mechanics.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to catch pricing and contract discrepancies before they reach production systems.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; MS Power BI experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to review and interpret contractual language and identify commercial or compliance risk.
- Ability to design and implement scalable, auditable business processes.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align pricing and contracting strategy to organizational goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and ensuring compliance.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: The salary range for this position is expected to be between $140,000 – $160,000 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on multiple factors including and not limited to, skills and experience. The structure includes performance-based incentives, depending on the level of the role.
