Senior Property Accountant

Join a stable, family-owned real estate organization in a newly created Senior Property Accountant role supporting a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. Key Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and reporting packages
• Manage CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, tenant billings, and property budget roll-ups
• Partner closely with property management and ownership to provide financial insight and support decision-making
• Assist with process improvements and accounting system enhancements, including a transition to AppFolio
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of property accounting or commercial real estate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and commercial property reporting
• Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar property management accounting systems
• Proven ability to improve processes and implement efficiencies
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
