Senior Staff Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with a reputable and growing organization in the Torrance area seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take on increased responsibility and play a key role in the company’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and variances, providing insights to management
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
• Mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus
