Mild/Moderate RSP teacher - South Pasadena CA
Elementary caseload
Pay: $55–$60+/hour on W-2
Schedule: 4 days/week — Monday through Thursday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Weekly Hours: 32 hours/week
Assignment Dates: September 1, 2026 – February 5, 2027
Potential Extension: Strong possibility of continuing through the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year, with potential renewal for the 2027–2028 school year
Position Overview
Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated M/M RSP Teacher to support students at Marengo Elementary School within the South Pasadena Unified School District. This is a great opportunity for an experienced special education teacher looking for a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule in a supportive elementary school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students receiving Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services
- Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records
- Support students in accessing and progressing within the general education curriculum
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid California credential appropriate for the assignment
- Special education teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
