🚧 We're Hiring: Subsurface Market Manager – Los Angeles, CA
A national leader in concrete cutting, coring, scanning, and demolition services — ranked 3rd in Demolition by ENR's 2023 Top Specialty Contractors — is looking for a Subsurface Market Manager to join our team in Los Angeles.
For over 65 years, we've led the industry with precision, safety, and cutting-edge technology. Now we're looking for a hybrid leader who can manage field operations and drive business growth.
About the Role
This is a unique dual-focus position — part team leadership, part business development. You'll manage a team of field-based Subsurface Analysts performing concrete scanning, subsurface utility locating/mapping, and X-Ray investigations, while also building client relationships and expanding our market share in the region.
What You'll Do
🔹 Lead and develop field-based Subsurface Analysts, ensuring accuracy and quality in every investigation
🔹 Drive new business through client engagement, site visits, and networking
🔹 Partner with Account Managers and Branch Leadership to cross-sell and grow service offerings
🔹 Create quotes/proposals and manage the full sales cycle
🔹 Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients — explaining results and solving problems on the spot
🔹 Champion a zero-incident safety culture across your team
🔹 Train, mentor, and audit team members to uphold our quality standards
What We're Looking For
✅ 2-3+ years of experience in concrete scanning and/or utility locating
✅ Prior sales or customer-facing experience in construction/industrial services (strong plus)
✅ Strong communication skills — able to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences
✅ Self-starter who thrives managing shifting priorities
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus
✅ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
✅ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor/construction environments
