Superintendent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations on major infrastructure and civil construction projects throughout the Los Angeles area.

The Superintendent will lead crews and subcontractors, manage day-to-day site operations, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations from mobilization through completion.
• Supervise Foremen, craft labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve field issues and maintain project documentation.
• Lead jobsite safety meetings and ensure OSHA/company standards are met.

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction experience, with significant Heavy Civil experience.
• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Experience with major civil/infrastructure projects such as:
• Highways & roadways
• Bridges & structures
• Utilities
• Water/wastewater
• Grading & earthwork
• Concrete
• Paving
• Public works
• Caltrans projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and field operations.
• Ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and project activities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

• Ideal candidates: Experienced field leaders with a strong Heavy Civil background who have successfully managed large-scale infrastructure projects in the Los Angeles/Southern California market.
