Traveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Nationwide Travel

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $120,000–$145,000 base salary + travel/per diem package

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the United States. The Superintendent will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, quality control, site logistics, and overall project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall field leadership and management for commercial construction project
  • Manage day-to-day site operations from mobilization through project completion
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to plan
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination and project planning meetings
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify potential issues
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite
  • Enforce company and OSHA safety standards
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure construction meets project specifications and quality standards
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials, equipment, and manpower
  • Track project progress and communicate schedule updates and potential del
  • Assist with resolving RFIs, submittals, design conflicts, and field issues
  • Conduct regular site walks and document project progress
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
  • Assist with inspections, punch lists, commissioning, and project close out
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Travel to project locations throughout the United States as required


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably in a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent capacity
  • Experience leading commercial construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, schedules, and sequencing
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the project management
  • Proficiency with construction technology and project management software
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to work extended periods away from home based on project requirements
