Accounting Generalist

About the Company

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented AP/AR General Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be a dependable and detail-oriented accounting professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process and post vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure invoices are properly coded to the appropriate General Ledger accounts.
• Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end accounting activities as needed.

Accounts Receivable

• Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate account records.
• Perform customer collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve customer deductions, discrepancies, and payment issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments regarding account issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and/or Accounts Receivable.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• ERP or accounting software experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and manage large amounts of financial data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, professional attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred.
