Accounting Manager

Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the continued growth of the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including AP, AR, and Staff/Senior Accountants.
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze inventory transactions, standard costing, variances, and production costs.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support business objectives.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• CPA and/or CMA is a plus.
