The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will provide fundamental support in the planning, organization, and execution of projects from due diligence and design to permitting, construction, and closeout. The APM will serve as a key coordinator among the project team and support consistent communication among team members. Daily responsibilities will vary by project, but will include document analysis and controls, schedule monitoring, site observation and reporting as well as meeting participation and record keeping. The APM will take on special projects independently and will work alongside Project Managers to provide key project assistance.

  • Master Planning
  • Schedule Development and Management
  • Budget Development and Management
  • Project Estimating
  • Due Diligence Reporting and Assessments
  • Design and Permitting Oversight
  • Value Engineering and Constructability Reviews
  • Project Team Management – as well as Procurement, including Request for Proposal (RFP) process for Architect, Engineer, General Contractor, and Consultants
  • Advisement on Project Delivery Systems and Forms of Contract
  • Construction Administration
  • Quality Control and Monitoring Compliance with Contract Documents
  • Project Accounting and Meeting Coordination
  • Change Order Analysis
  • Occupancy and Relocation Management


Skills and Qualifications

The APM role is an exciting opportunity for candidates with 3+ years of experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.

  • The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, and/or construction or relevant project experience.
  • An ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • The candidate will have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and project members.
  • The candidate will possess listening skills and attention to detail.
  • The candidate will be organized with robust time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • The candidate will have a willingness to continue to learn new skills and tasks, and an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
