Role Description
The Assistant Property Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in San Diego, CA. This role supports day-to-day property operations, including coordinating maintenance requests, assisting with tenant communications, and helping manage leases and renewals. The Assistant Property Manager will process applications, prepare notices and statements, and help ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. The role also includes supporting property marketing efforts, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with property managers and vendors to address issues promptly. A successful candidate will provide responsive, professional service to both landlords and tenants and help maintain a positive resident experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential property management, leasing, or related real estate support roles.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, landlords, and vendors.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfort with technology, including property management software, online portals, and standard office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing).
- Basic understanding of lease terms, property maintenance processes, and local rental regulations is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA, and collaborate effectively with the local property management team.
- Prior experience in Arizona, California, or Nevada rental markets is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in property management or real estate are beneficial.
Pay Rate: $25-$30 p/hour
