Associate Attorney

Our client, an international law firm with 10 offices, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 3-5+ years of experience to join their highly-regarded global insurance coverage practice in Chicago. This role will manage and assist with contentious and non-contentious third-party liability insurance coverage matters.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage complex third-party liability insurance coverage matters, including both contentious and non-contentious claims.
• Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation, from pre-suit analysis through trial, appeal, and resolution.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, declinations, and other coverage-related communications.
• Represent insurers in coverage disputes, declaratory judgment actions, bad faith claims, and related litigation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
• Develop case strategy and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to insurer clients.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and court proceedings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $145,000 - $185,000+
