About the Opportunity

As a key member of the litigation team, you will manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through trial. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your cases, work directly with clients, and appear regularly in court while collaborating with experienced attorneys who are committed to delivering outstanding client service.

What You'll Do

• Manage a broad range of civil litigation matters from case inception through resolution or trial.
• Develop litigation strategy and represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, work with expert witnesses, and manage all phases of discovery.
• Perform legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda and case analyses.
• Build trusted relationships with clients while providing practical legal counsel and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve successful client outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to obtain admission).
• Demonstrated civil litigation experience.
• Trial experience or significant courtroom advocacy experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case management.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A self-motivated attorney who enjoys working collaboratively and building lasting client relationships.
• Candidates currently living in the Glens Falls region or those interested in relocating to the area are encouraged to apply.
