Full job description

We are looking for a hands-on AWS Platform Engineer with a strong software development background to help design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-based applications and platform services. This person should bring a developer mindset to platform engineering, with strong AWS experience, system design skills, and the ability to work across application development, infrastructure, deployment, observability, and production support.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support scalable applications and platform services in AWS.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation using languages such as Node.js and Python.
  • Participate in system design and architecture decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across production environments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis across applications and infrastructure.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, reliability, and overall platform performance.
  • Contribute across multiple areas of the technology stack and take ownership from development through production.


Experience:

  • Strong software engineering background with hands-on coding experience.
  • Deep hands-on experience building and operating applications on AWS.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC networking.
  • Strong system design and cloud architecture experience.
  • Experience with platform engineering, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and production deployments.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
  • Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Comfortable working in environments where engineers wear multiple hats across development, infrastructure, and operations.
  • CRM experience is a plus; Salesforce experience is not required.
  • Experience with AI assistants, Amazon Connect, Lex, or SRE practices is a plus but not required.
