Collections Specialist (Hybrid) – Temp to Hire
100 Park Avenue Florham Park, NJ (Hybrid)
Schedule & Details
- Hybrid: 1–2 days onsite, remainder remote
- First 2 weeks fully onsite (training)
- Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay: $21–$23/hour (based on experience)
- Temporary role with potential for permanent hire
- Start date: ASAP
The Role
We’re hiring a Collections Specialist to support accounts receivable and reduce outstanding balances across an established client base. This role combines collections, customer service, and problem-solving, and is ideal for someone who can manage accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Manage AR aging and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Make outbound collection calls and send professional email communications
- Resolve billing issues and customer disputes
- Maintain detailed account notes and collection activity
- Identify root causes of delinquency and escalate when needed
- Track payment arrangements and ensure follow-through
- Collaborate internally to resolve discrepancies
- Support reporting and monitoring of assigned accounts
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of collections or related experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with systems like PeopleSoft, NetSuite, or similar
Preferred
- B2B collections experience
- Associate degree (or higher) in Business or related field
- ERP experience (PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Sage)
