Bush Construction is currently seeking candidates to fill a Construction Estimator position with the firm. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in our project development team by leading the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for construction projects.

Job responsibilities Include:

• Communicate with subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for each project.
• Review project documents with subcontractors to determine scope of work and identify problem areas in the documents.
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive bid packages.
• Attend project meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes.
• Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
• Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with chief estimator, project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of project estimates.
• Other miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Required knowledge and skills:

• 3+ years prior construction cost estimating experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read architectural plans and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient with Bluebeam.

This position could include time spent at both the Clovis and Hanford office locations.

Full-time position

Salary Commensurate with experience.

Range: $80,000-$190,000 per year including comprehensive benefits package.
