Position: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Pay Rate: $30.00–$33.00/hour
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Some Saturdays may be required.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence through process optimization, quality improvements, and efficiency initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes, implement sustainable improvements, and measure performance against key business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing manufacturing and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance and improvement efforts.
- Analyze current processes, identify future-state opportunities, and recommend solutions.
- Lead and support the implementation of process improvements across multiple departments.
- Track project progress and report results related to productivity, quality, and cost savings.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all company Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams to achieve operational goals.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Improvement preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and develop measurable process improvements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
