Our client is a highly successful, multinational manufacturing organization with approximately $2.7 billion in U.S. revenue and a European-based parent company. They are seeking a seasoned Corporate Controller to lead financial governance, group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operational finance, and post-acquisition integration initiatives across the U.S. region.


This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with executive leadership in both the U.S. and Europe. The ideal candidate will bring experience working within large, complex multinational organizations, possess strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and have a proven track record driving financial performance, operational improvements, and M&A integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Regional Oversight

  • Lead all U.S. group reporting activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting to global headquarters.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Area Manager, Regional Controller, and executive leadership team.
  • Provide actionable financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Drive financial transparency and accountability across multiple business units and manufacturing locations.

Reporting, Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting submissions to the parent company.
  • Analyze financial results, identify performance trends, and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of internal controls and corporate governance initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, tax regulations, and reporting standards.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Direct the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles.
  • Evaluate business performance against budget and forecast targets.
  • Analyze operating margins, cost structures, working capital, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide leadership with meaningful financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Operational Finance

  • Partner closely with plant and operational leadership teams across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to gain insight into manufacturing operations and identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
  • Evaluate operational efficiencies, cost optimization initiatives, and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across finance and administrative functions.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Support acquisition activities including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition implementation.
  • Lead finance integration efforts following acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions, reporting consistency, and process harmonization.
  • Standardize financial procedures, controls, and reporting across acquired businesses.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large finance organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Transfer best practices and strengthen financial and administrative capabilities across the organization.


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • Experience within a large, global, multinational manufacturing organization
  • Strong understanding of both US GAAP and IFRS
  • Proven experience leading large finance teams
  • Background supporting complex, multi-location operations
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Hands-on involvement with M&A transactions and post-acquisition integrations
  • Knowledge of accounting, tax, audit, legal, and compliance functions


Preferred Background

  • Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemicals, Building Products, or Similar Industry Experience
  • Experience reporting into a European parent company
  • Multi-entity and multi-location financial leadership experience
  • Experience implementing financial process improvements and internal control frameworks

Systems Experience

  • ERP experience required
  • SAP highly preferred
