Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong manufacturing background to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations. This position will oversee full-cycle accounting, with a emphasis on cost accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational support. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to partner closely with leadership to drive financial accuracy and business performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and year-end close.
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial reporting and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Lead all accounting activities, including inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, bill of materials review, and margin analysis.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs and partner with operations leadership to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and compliance practices.
  • Oversee inventory controls and ensure accuracy in inventory valuation and reporting.
  • Analyze financial performance and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate audit support, account reconciliations, and regulatory reporting as needed.
  • Help improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting efficiencies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Cost accounting experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge of inventory, standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing reporting.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • ERP system experience is a must.

  • Experience partnering with plant or operations leadership.
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience improving processes in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
