Controller

A family owned manufacturer / distributor in Hauppauge that has been in business 50+ years is looking for their next Controller. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger employees
• Preparing balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents
• Managing cash flow
• Overseeing the preparation of local, state and federal tax filings
• Reporting budgeting variances to executives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
