Corporate Controller

A privately held consumer products company is hiring a Corporate Controller to lead its accounting function. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Chicago.

The Corporate Controller will oversee the monthly close, financial reporting, cash management, capital activity, internal controls, and process improvements. This person will partner closely with executive leadership and manage accounting across multiple areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete month-end and year-end close
• Oversee financial reporting and account reconciliations
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital activity
• Improve accounting procedures, controls, and reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and special projects
• Lead and develop the accounting team
• Partner with executive and operational leadership

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Accounting leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Strong monthly close and financial reporting experience
• CPA preferred but not required

Compensation and Schedule

• $160k-$170k base salary
• Medical, dental, vision, and 401k
• PTO, sick time, and paid holidays
• 100% onsite, 5 days per week in Downtown Chicago
