Method Learning | Part-time | Remote | B2C sales

About the role

Method Learning is hiring an Educational Sales Consultant to help prospective customers choose educational services that fit their goals. This is a remote, part-time, hourly B2C sales role focused on responsive coverage during a high-volume late-afternoon and evening window. The consultant will guide prospects from first contact through purchase and a smooth handoff, while maintaining accurate sales and activity records.

Why this role matters

Prospective customers often need timely, informed support when they are deciding how to prepare for important academic milestones. Your responsiveness, judgment, and follow-through will help Method Learning serve more customers consistently and make the buying experience clear and helpful.

What you'll do

  • Respond promptly to inbound B2C leads during assigned coverage hours.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand each prospective customer's goals, timeline, and needs.
  • Recommend appropriate Method Learning services and explain options, pricing, and next steps clearly.
  • Manage opportunities from initial contact through purchase and coordinate a smooth handoff to the appropriate internal team.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and build trusted relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Keep lead, opportunity, sales, commission, and time-tracking records accurate and current in company systems.
  • Track sales activity, revenue, and pipeline progress and contribute to recurring performance reports.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to answer questions, resolve customer needs, and escalate urgent issues when appropriate.
  • Support retention and renewal conversations as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Three to five years of relevant sales, account management, or customer-facing business development experience.
  • Demonstrated success with consultative B2C selling and timely lead follow-up.
  • Clear, credible verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • A customer-focused approach and sound judgment when recommending solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, reliably cover assigned hours, and remain open and responsive to coaching from the Team Lead.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and comfort learning CRM and time-tracking tools.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in education, test preparation, tutoring, or another family-facing service.
  • Experience with HubSpot is preferred; experience with another CRM, pipeline-management tools, and remote time-tracking tools is also valuable.
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Team and collaboration

You will work with sales and cross-functional colleagues to move opportunities forward, coordinate customer handoffs, and support a consistent customer experience. You should be open and responsive to coaching, feedback, and direction from the Team Lead.

Location, schedule, and work model

This is a remote, part-time role intended for U.S.-based hiring. The expected schedule should average approximately 20-25 hours per week with more possible. Afternoon and evening availability is required, with core coverage centered on 4:00-8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Weekend availability is also required, with weekend hours assigned based on coverage needs. Some holiday work will be required. The exact distribution of hours may vary based on team coverage needs.

Compensation

The starting rate is $25 per hour, plus generous, uncapped commission and a target bonus for incremental sales.
