Full job description

⚡ tl;dr

  1. Help us get more promising new medicine to patients. We're currently supporting many of the most-promising new interventions for depression & anxiety.
  2. Join a rapidly growing company (we've ~5x'd in the past year) while we're still just a tight-knit team of ~30.
  3. Work directly with clients as a strategy and ops thought partner — drive the delivery of Power on critical clinical trials end to end.
  4. Analyze data to surface operational opportunities so we can bring thoughtful optimization ideas to our clients.
  5. Most of our team is very-senior (7+ years experience), but we're open to individuals who are earlier in their career for this role!

🧬 Let's accelerate medical innovation

At Power, we're making clinical trials easy to navigate for all patients.

Today, patients look to promising medical research when standard treatments have failed them.

Unfortunately, there is no single source of truth that patients can understand and trust. The status quo is a government run website which is written in complex medical jargon that is impossible for most people to navigate.

At the same time, clinical trials are the bottleneck on medical innovation—new medicine takes almost 10 years to test, costs >$2B to develop, and over 86% of all clinical trials are delayed because they can't find enough patients. This is one of the biggest problems facing the life science industry.

Power is the easiest way for patients to access promising new studies. We help more patients find treatments, and accelerate the discovery of novel medicine as we go.

🏹 The role

Power is reaching the point where our product really works. Given this, we’re looking for a high-agency generalist to lead client engagements and own executive relationships with our partners.

If we were to zoom in, you’ll likely spend time:

  • Managing cross-functional operations for high profile engagements from implementation to reporting and close out
  • Conducting strategic analyses to diagnose bottlenecks in operations and size new opportunities for growth
  • Advising client executives to on clinical trial operations; building a trust-based relationship with our partners
  • Owning the P&L of the programs you are leading

This role will be based in our SF office.

📊 Ideal Qualifications:

  • We don’t believe in strict years of experience but our ideal candidate likely has a few years of experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • You’ve probably spent some time in an analytical professional service environment (banking, consulting) and left for an early/mid stage startup (seed - series b) because you wanted to get stuff done
  • As a result, you’re probably fluent in business analytics, client management, and ROI analysis
  • And you’ve also learned how to duct tape a v1 concept in order to validate an idea (webflow → typeform → zapier → airtable)
  • A background in pharma R&D or clinical research is a plus but we believe this is learnable
