The ideal candidate combines strong event marketing execution with strategic thinking, creativity, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of the startup and investor ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the planning and day-to-day execution of experiential marketing programs and onsite events in San Francisco.
  • Develop and execute event strategies that support brand awareness, perception, engagement, and demand-generation objectives.
  • Manage major industry sponsorships, first-party events, and other high-impact marketing activations.
  • Drive the development and execution of scalable programs designed to engage founders, startups, investors, and the broader startup community.
  • Help develop and activate relationships with Venture Capital (VC), incubator, accelerator, and technology partners.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, agencies, vendors, and external partners to deliver successful events and marketing programs.
  • Manage event timelines, deliverables, budgets, logistics, and onsite execution.
  • Partner with internal technical, AI, marketing, and business teams to translate strategic priorities into compelling event experiences.
  • Develop creative event concepts and marketing activations that resonate with founders and investors.
  • Support social storytelling and other content initiatives that extend the impact of events beyond the physical experience.
  • Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, reach, and effectiveness.
  • Anticipate challenges, move quickly to resolve issues, and maintain a high standard of execution across multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, field marketing, partner marketing, or a related area.
  • Proven experience independently managing events, marketing programs, or experiential activations from planning through execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco and manage onsite event activities.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience working within a startup, venture capital firm, accelerator, incubator, or technology ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of founders, startups, investors, and the broader startup ecosystem.
  • Experience working with technology, SaaS, AI, artificial intelligence, cloud, or other technical organizations.
  • Experience supporting major industry sponsorships and first-party events.
  • Experience working with VC, incubator, accelerator, or ISV partners.
  • Experience partnering with technical or AI-focused teams.
  • Highly creative mindset with a passion for developing resonant, market-shaping campaigns and experiences.
