Job opening
General Manager & Co-Founder
Filed under Food and Beverage Services
Full job description
Boba has become a major consumer trend, moving from a specialty Asian beverage into an increasingly mainstream category. Its taste, texture, variety, and social appeal create a significant market opportunity for products that make boba easier to enjoy anywhere.
FS Beverage Inc is building FSTea to capture that opportunity. Our ready-to-drink products combine real brewed tea, creamy milk, and prebiotic crystal boba in a convenient format that can scale far beyond a traditional tea shop. We seek to build a diversified beverage over time, leveraging boba as an initial high growth category.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager / Co-Founder to own day-to-day execution, establish a disciplined operating cadence, and consistently move the business forward. The GM will work closely with the founder, independently driving operating priorities while enabling the founder to spend more time on strategic initiatives, major partnerships, financing, and long-term growth.
What You Will Personally Own and Execute• Sell and close business yourself. Prospect, contact buyers, prepare pitches, run meetings, send samples, negotiate, follow up persistently, and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Drive every priority to completion. Turn strategy into specific actions, owners, deadlines, and results; step in personally whenever an execution gap appears.
• Operate across functions. Coordinate product launches, inventory, production, logistics, marketing, sampling, e-commerce, customer service, and partner support.
• Build the tools the business needs. Create presentations, analyses, trackers, operating procedures, dashboards, and customer materials instead of waiting for others to produce them.
• Solve problems at ground level. Investigate issues, call suppliers and customers, move inventory, support events, and handle whatever practical work is necessary.
• Build leverage over time. Recruit and manage employees, interns, contractors, brokers, distributors, and agencies - while remaining willing to do the work yourself.
• Maintain relentless follow-through. Keep commitments visible, chase stalled items, remove bottlenecks, and make sure nothing important quietly dies.
• Keep the founder informed. Provide fact-based reporting on results, risks, decisions, and resource needs.
What Success Looks Like• A much faster, more accountable weekly operating rhythm across the company.
• A significantly larger active sales pipeline and consistent conversion of opportunities into revenue.
• Successful product launches and market-development initiatives completed on time.
• Repeatable systems for sales, operations, project management, and performance tracking.
• Reliable independent ownership of day-to-day priorities, with clear communication and appropriate alignment with the founder.
Who We Are Looking ForYou may be a startup operator, consumer-products executive, former founder, entrepreneur-in-residence, or commercially oriented generalist. More important than a specific title, you should be:
• A true player-coach who gains energy from doing the work, not merely assigning it.
• Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable with substantial ownership.
• Results-oriented, with urgency, persistence, and strong follow-through.
• Commercially strong and willing to prospect, sell, negotiate, and close personally.
• Able to move between strategic judgment and detailed execution several times in the same day.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and adjusting quickly.
• Direct, transparent, highly accountable, and effective working closely with a founder.
• Based in California, or willing to spend substantial working time in California.
Experience in beverages, consumer packaged goods, food, retail, distribution, e-commerce, or startups is valuable but not required. Exceptional drive, judgment, learning ability, and execution matter more than a perfect resume.
Compensation and CommitmentThis is an equity-only opportunity with no initial cash compensation. It is intended for someone who can accept early-stage risk in exchange for meaningful ownership and long-term upside. Equity will be subject to an agreed vesting structure, performance expectations, and definitive company documentation.
Candidates should carefully assess whether the structure is financially workable. The role is best suited to someone with a genuine entrepreneurial mentality who wants to build long-term enterprise value.
Why Join FS Beverage?• Take a high-ownership operating role in an innovative consumer brand at an early and high-impact stage.
• Receive meaningful equity participation and a direct connection between your contribution and potential upside.
• Work closely with a founder who is a Harvard, Stanford, and McKinsey alumnus.
• Shape the company's strategy, culture, operating model, team, and market expansion.
• Help make high-quality boba milk tea dramatically more convenient and widely available.
