HR Coordinator – Manufacturing
Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Setting: On-Site
Pay: $25–$35 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support day-to-day Human Resources operations at our San Jose manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on, employee-facing role supporting onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping, attendance, payroll coordination, HR documentation, and employee records. The HR Coordinator will work closely with employees, supervisors, site leadership, and corporate HR to ensure HR matters are properly documented, addressed, and escalated when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors.
Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation.
Maintain accurate I-9, personnel, and HR records.
Review timecards, attendance, and payroll discrepancies.
Track employee absences and leave documentation.
Support employee relations matters and document employee concerns.
Assist with workers’ compensation and workplace injury reporting.
Answer routine questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and procedures.
Support HR audits and employee record reviews.
Maintain required California workplace postings and HR documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Escalate employee complaints, investigations, accommodations, wage/hour concerns, safety matters, and other sensitive issues to the appropriate HR leadership.
Qualifications
3–5 years of HR or HR administration experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Hands-on experience with employee onboarding and personnel records.
Experience with timekeeping, attendance, or payroll support.
Experience documenting and supporting employee relations matters.
Working knowledge of California employment practices.
Experience using an HRIS or payroll system.
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment.

HRIS/payroll software experience
English/Spanish bilingual skills
