Full job description
A private equity fund manager that invests in distressed debt secured by commercial real estate is looking to hire an Investment Associate. The Associate will participate in the evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, and transaction closing of new investment opportunities, as well as the analysis of existing investments.
What You’ll Do:
- Underwrite and price nonperforming, subperforming, and performing loans and loan portfolios
- Lead due diligence process and facilitate investment closings
- Review litigation and legal provisions in loan documents and incorporate them into modeling and pricing
- Value all CRE asset classes in the New York metro area
- Write investment memoranda and present opportunities to the Investment Committee
- Develop scenario analyses and build fund models
We’re Looking For
:
- 4-6 years of CRE underwriting experience, including strong Excel, Argus, and general financial modeling skill
- sExperience with loan data tapes, portfolio-level analysis, scenario/stress testing, and partnership waterfall
