Data Center Commissioning Engineer

Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Full Benefits

Up to 80% Travel | Hyperscale & Enterprise Data Center Projects

Join a Rapidly Growing Commissioning Team

We are partnered with an emerging leader in the mission critical commissioning space that is quickly establishing itself as a trusted partner on some of the largest hyperscale and enterprise data center projects across North America. Backed by experienced industry leaders and a rapidly expanding project portfolio, this is an opportunity to join a company in its early stages and play a direct role in its continued growth and success.

Unlike larger organizations where individuals can become one of many, this team offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, work directly alongside company leadership, and help shape processes as the organization continues to expand. If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with significant career growth and the ability to work on cutting-edge mission critical facilities, this is an excellent fit.

What You'll Do

  • Lead commissioning activities from project kickoff through final owner turnover on hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
  • Develop, review, and execute commissioning scripts for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems.
  • Perform and oversee Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities across critical power and cooling infrastructure.
  • Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST), including emergency power transfer testing, failure scenarios, redundancy validation, and load bank testing.
  • Coordinate commissioning schedules with general contractors, MEP subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, and owner representatives.
  • Manage punch list items, verify corrective actions, and ensure systems are fully commissioned before project turnover.
  • Review construction documents, MEP drawings, control sequences, and equipment submittals to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Produce commissioning reports, functional performance documentation, issue logs, and final turnover packages.
  • Serve as a technical resource on-site, helping identify and resolve commissioning challenges while maintaining project schedules.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of commissioning experience within mission critical or data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of critical electrical infrastructure including UPS systems, switchgear, generators, ATS, and power distribution systems.
  • Experience commissioning mechanical systems including chilled water plants, CRAH/CRAC units, DX cooling systems, and liquid cooling technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, one-line diagrams, and controls sequences.
  • Experience leading or participating in Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with owners, contractors, and engineering teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% to project sites throughout North America.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Join a high-growth commissioning company at the ground level as they continue to win major hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
  • Work alongside experienced commissioning professionals with direct exposure to company leadership.
  • Have the opportunity to make an impact, influence processes, and grow into leadership as the organization expands.
  • Be part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your contributions are recognized and valued.
  • Competitive compensation, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to build your career with one of the industry's fastest-growing commissioning firms.
