Manufacturing Engineering Technician-II (On-Site – Fremont, CA)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technician-II to support the final testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical equipment. This Technician will ensure the quality and functionality of machines before they leave the assembly line by diagnosing issues, performing electrical testing, analyzing CAN network data, and maintaining testing documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems, strong electrical testing skills, and the ability to interpret schematics and use command line tools in a manufacturing environment.

Experience of the right candidate:
- 2+ years of experience working with electromechanical systems.
- Strong triaging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing basic electrical testing, including voltage, resistance, and continuity measurements.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Experience with CAN bus tools and data logging systems.
- Familiarity with command line interfaces and executing scripts and queries.
- Ability to interpret functional schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail when identifying and documenting known and new issues.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in electromechanical equipment.
- Perform basic electrical testing, including measuring voltage, resistance, and continuity.
- Perform isolation testing on sensitive equipment.
- Execute scripts and queries through a command line interface.
- Analyze CAN network data for system diagnostics.
- Interpret functional schematics and circuit diagrams to support troubleshooting.
- Maintain existing testing and troubleshooting documentation.
- Identify, document, and report known and newly discovered issues.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment to support equipment diagnostics and final testing.
- Ensure machines meet quality and functionality requirements before leaving the assembly line.
