NEW IN – Mid-Level Employment Litigation Attorney | 6–10 Years | Up to $220K DOE | Wage & Hour + Class Actions | National Plaintiff-Side Trial Practice | Remote
I'm currently working with a nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm that is looking to add a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Attorney to its team. This is an opportunity to work on complex wage-and-hour and class action litigation within a firm built around trial work, with exposure to matters being litigated across the country.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Trial-Focused Plaintiff Practice – Join a firm where complex litigation and trial work sit at the centre of the practice, rather than being a secondary capability.
- National Class Action Exposure – Work on employment matters that can span multiple jurisdictions and involve large-scale wage-and-hour disputes.
- High-Impact Employment Work – Handle substantive plaintiff-side matters involving misclassification, wage-and-hour violations, PAGA, FLSA and other complex employment claims.
- Work Alongside Experienced Trial Counsel – Gain exposure to sophisticated litigation strategy while supporting senior attorneys on significant matters.
- Growing National Platform – Join an expanding plaintiff-side practice with a broader national footprint and opportunities to work beyond a single local market.
- Remote Working Model – Work fully remotely while remaining part of a nationally active litigation team.
The Role
- Support senior trial attorneys in developing and litigating plaintiff-side wage-and-hour matters.
- Draft and refine substantive motions, briefs and other litigation documents.
- Manage written discovery and take and defend depositions.
- Handle wage-and-hour disputes involving misclassification, meal and rest break violations, expense reimbursement and off-the-clock work.
- Work on PAGA and FLSA claims, including representative and collective components where applicable.
- Support class action litigation from case development through resolution.
- Contribute to litigation strategy and maintain high-quality written work product.
- Take increasing ownership of matters as your experience develops.
About You
- 6–10 years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience.
- Active Chicago Bar admission required.
- Substantive wage-and-hour litigation experience.
- Experience with misclassification, meal/rest break violations, expense reimbursement, off-the-clock work, PAGA and FLSA claims.
- Demonstrated ability to support senior trial attorneys.
- Strong legal writing skills.
- Two writing samples preferred.
- Experience with litigation or filings in additional jurisdictions such as NY, NJ, WA or IL is a plus.
- Leadership potential without being too senior for an associate-level role.
Location
- Fully remote working arrangement – United States
Package
- Up to $220,000 base salary, depending on experience and writing strength
- Bonus eligibility
If you're an Employment litigator looking to work on nationally significant wage-and-hour litigation within a genuine trial-focused plaintiff-side practice, I'd love to speak with you.
