Project Accountant

Project Accountant | Sacramento

We're partnering with a growing construction organization seeking a Project Accountant to support project financial operations, job costing, billing, and reporting.

📋 Employment Type: Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire

Key Requirement

✅ Experience working for a General Contractor (GC) is REQUIRED

❌ Candidates with only subcontractor experience will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting and job cost tracking
• Support project billings, change orders, and contract administration
• Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end close
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare project-related financial reports and analysis

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of Project Accounting or Construction Accounting experience
• General Contractor (GC) experience required
• Experience with job costing and construction accounting
• Experience with Sage and/or Procore preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Onsite required
