Property Accountant

Role: Property Accountant

Location: Chicago, IL

A growing real estate company is seeking an Accountant to join its accounting team in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within commercial real estate while gaining exposure to a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close and general ledger activities
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Support property-level accounting and reporting
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Partner with property management and finance teams on various accounting initiatives
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Approximately 1+ year of property accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Yardi is required
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
