Job Title: Property Accountant
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Full-Time
A well-established New York-based real estate firm is seeking a Property Accountant to oversee the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly property financial statements
- Manage tenant and lease accounting
- Perform CAM reconciliations and tenant billing
- Reconcile bank, operating, and security deposit accounts
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of property accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial and multifamily real estate accounting
- Yardi experience (required)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with lease administration, CAM reconciliations, and multiple property entities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
