Remote Deposition & Appearance Attorney

A prominent plaintiff auto consumer warranty law firm based in Los Angeles is excited to offer a unique opportunity for California-licensed attorneys to join its fully remote, contract-to-hire Associate Attorney program. The role begins with a comprehensive one-week training program starting Monday, September 14, specifically designed to support work on high-volume depositions and regular court hearings. This opportunity provides hands-on development and support, advancement, and competitive benefits.

The firm is open to candidates from all legal backgrounds seeking to gain litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ~7 depositions weekly.
• Attend court hearings virtually.
• Leverage Document Management Systems to efficiently manage case files.
• Navigate electronic court filing systems
• Accurately maintain timekeeping and billing records.
• Edit, redact, add signatures, and make adjustments in PDFs.
• Effectively participate in and manage virtual meetings on Zoom and MS Teams, including screen sharing and navigating presentations.

Work Environment: 100% remote

Compensation:

• $40/hour during the initial contract/training phase (1 week), working 40 hours weekly.
• Upon conversion: $155K annually + $12K timekeeping bonus post-training.
• Full benefits available upon conversion!
• Annual 2,000 billable hour requirement.

Qualifications:

• Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Open to all legal backgrounds.
• Ability to work standard PST business hours remotely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (e.g., formatting legal briefs), Microsoft Outlook (e.g., managing complex communications), Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., creating, editing, and sharing presentations).
• Comfort with learning and integrating new legal technologies into workflows.
