Senior Accountant | Real Estate Investment Platform

📍 New York City, NY (4 days in office, flexible as needed)

💰 $100K-$120K Base + 15-20% Bonus

Join a leading REIT financing across multiple asset classes. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment with significant exposure to loan, debt, and joint venture accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, cash positions, and partner distributions
• Maintain accounting ledgers, loan schedules, and bank reconciliations
• Support investor reporting and distribution calculations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and JV financial reporting packages
• Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and lender reporting requirements
• Work closely with investment, asset management, tax, and external audit teams

Ideal Background

• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a REIT, real estate investment firm, fund, or related platform
• Combination of public and private accounting experience strongly preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with Yardi and/or MRI highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Proactive, self-starter mindset with excellent communication skills
