Senior Employment Defense Attorney
A well-established and highly respected law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Defense Attorney to join its team. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in or near Los Angeles or Pasadena. The firm represents employers in a wide range of employment matters and is known for its practical approach, strong client relationships, and high-quality legal work. The Senior Employment Defense Attorney will be responsible for independently managing a full caseload of employment litigation matters while developing case strategy and delivering effective legal representation with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of employment defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
- Develop and execute case strategy independently
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
- Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines
Required Qualifications:
- 8–15 years of litigation experience with a focus on employment defense
- Proven ability to independently manage cases with little to no supervision
- Strong tenure, ideally with no more than 3–4 law firms since law school
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Extensive experience handling all aspects of litigation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
- Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
- Must be located in or near Los Angeles or Pasadena

Compensation & Requirements:
Salary range: $250,000 – $300,000, commensurate with experience. The compensation range may be flexible for exceptionally qualified candidates.
