Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the media and publishing industry, is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Media Supply Chain to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives supporting publishing operations and media supply chain workflows.


This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Creative, Publishing Operations, external partners, and executive stakeholders to drive high-visibility initiatives from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership experience along with a deep understanding of title management, planning, publishing workflows, and media supply chain operations.


Duration: 9-month contract (with right to extend or convert to FTE)

Location: Hybrid schedule with 1–2 days onsite per week

  • Preferred location in the Los Angeles area, with additional location options in New York City, Florida, or Seattle


The Right Candidate Will Have

  • 8+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • 5+ years of product management or closely related experience supporting media supply chain, title management, planning, or publishing workflows
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
  • Experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior and executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within media, entertainment, publishing, or content operations is highly preferred
  • Experience working across technology, publishing operations, and external partner teams is a plus


What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution for large-scale media supply chain and publishing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining visibility into priorities, blockers, and delivery risks
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Creative, Publishing Operations, and external partners to align project objectives and execution plans
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and maintain clear ownership across teams
  • Communicate project status, risks, trade-offs, and mitigation plans to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating when necessary
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and help resolve conflicts or competing priorities
  • Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches based on project needs
  • Maintain governance, documentation, approvals, and change-management processes
  • Continuously improve project delivery processes, tools, and workflows
