Senior QA Manager – Direct Hire

Location: San Jose, CA

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Manager to lead QA for hardware/device-based products. The QA environment is mostly manual testing, so candidates must have a strong hands-on manual testing background, although this role will primarily focus on QA leadership and management rather than test execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution across complex hardware programs
• Manage teams responsible for manual hardware/device testing
• Define and improve QA processes, test strategies, coverage, and release readiness
• Oversee defect management, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive product quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience as a QA Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong previous hands-on manual testing experience
• Experience with hardware, devices, or hardware/software integrated products
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA processes, debugging, and defect management
• AR/VR or XR experience highly preferred
• Must be local to the San Jose/Bay Area
