Production Supervisor – Welding & Fabrication


📍 Itasca, IL | 100% Onsite

💰 Up to $75K+ | Potentially higher based on experience

We’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee two key manufacturing areas: Welding and Drill/Saw Operations.


This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing leader who knows how to keep production moving, develop a strong team, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.


You’ll be highly visible on the production floor, working directly with employees, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to meet production schedules and continuously improve processes.


What You'll Do

  • Supervise daily operations across the Welding and Drill/Saw departments
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees while promoting accountability and teamwork
  • Plan and prioritize daily work to meet production schedules and customer commitments
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and staffing requirements
  • Ensure employees follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Troubleshoot production issues and remove obstacles to keep work moving
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality to resolve production and quality concerns
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, productivity, and throughput
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Train employees on processes, procedures, equipment, and safe work practices


What We're Looking For

  • Previous Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Welding Supervisor, or Lead experience
  • Strong background in welding, fabrication, metal manufacturing, or machining
  • Experience overseeing welding and/or saw/drill operations strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a production team
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus
