NICA provides port drayage, transloading, container flips, hazmat and overweight moves, and yard storage, and has been serving all LA/LB and Houston port terminals for over 11 years. Role Description The Yard Operations and Gate Clerk is a full-time, on-site position based in Gardena, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing daily yard activities, including tracking inbound and outbound containers, assigning parking locations, and coordinating with drivers and dispatch to ensure efficient traffic flow. The clerk will manage gate check-in and check-out processes, verify documentation, update system records in real time, and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with operations staff, customers, and resolving discrepancies in equipment or paperwork, and supporting yard inventory audits. The role also involves monitoring equipment conditions, reporting issues to maintenance, and assisting with scheduling and prioritizing moves to maintain smooth yard operations.

• Prior experience in drayage, trucking, logistics, or freight operations is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus.
• Reliable work ethic, ability to work scheduled shifts, and capability to stand, walk, and work outdoors as needed.
