About the Opportunity:

Seeking a BIM / Revit Specialist with direct experience in electrical construction for a leading ENR Electrical Contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a large-scale electrical contracting organization working across complex commercial, industrial, infrastructure, healthcare, data center, and mission-critical projects.

The successful candidate will use Autodesk Revit to design and model electrical equipment, conduit, supports, and related systems for prefabrication and field installation. You will work closely with project teams, engineers, architects, clients, and other trades to ensure designs are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with construction requirements.

The role offers structured training, mentorship, and significant opportunity for career progression as your technical knowledge and project responsibilities develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of BIM/Revit modelling activities and project deliverables.
  • Develop detailed electrical models using Autodesk Revit for construction, prefabrication, and installation.
  • Model electrical equipment, conduit, supports, and associated systems.
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, plans, and 3D models for accuracy and code compliance.
  • Apply the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and electrical construction best practices to designs.
  • Assist project teams with contract reviews, 3D coordination, and production of prefabrication and installation drawings.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field teams, architects, clients, and other trades.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions around electrical design, constructability, and best practices.
  • Schedule and coordinate supporting project resources to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
  • Participate in project reporting, documentation, and accountability processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering and BIM processes, project efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop proficiency in additional BIM, engineering, and construction software as required.

Requirements

  • 3–10 years of experience in BIM, Revit, electrical design, electrical construction, or a related field.
  • Direct experience using Autodesk Revit, ideally within electrical construction.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment, conduit, supports, and installation methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, plans, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic Autodesk products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and able to work effectively within a project team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the electrical construction industry.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a well-established national electrical contractor with a significant project portfolio.
  • Work on technically complex electrical construction projects across multiple sectors.
  • Structured training and mentorship from experienced engineering and construction professionals.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression and increased responsibility.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and 401(k) benefits.
  • Paid holidays and vacation.
  • Merit-based bonus opportunities.
  • Tuition reimbursement program.

This is an opportunity to build a long-term career in BIM and electrical construction while gaining hands-on experience with Revit, prefabrication, coordination, and large-scale construction projects.
