POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Senior Director of Partnership serves as the executive relationship leader for a portfolio of strategic Partner accounts.
This highly visible role is responsible for developing trusted executive relationships, driving Partner satisfaction and retention, identifying opportunities for organic growth, and serving as the bridge between our Partners and internal leadership teams.
Success in this position requires an individual who thrives on building relationships, influencing executive stakeholders, solving complex business challenges, and collaborating across multiple business functions to deliver exceptional Partner experiences.
The ideal candidate possesses outstanding executive presence, strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for creating long-term partnerships that drive mutual success.
This position requires approximately 60–75% travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Relationship Management
- Serve as the executive relationship owner for assigned strategic Partner relationships.
- Develop trusted relationships with Partner executives across multiple levels of the organization.
- Conduct regular executive business reviews to communicate operational performance, business insights, and strategic opportunities.
- Act as the primary executive point of contact for Partner escalations and strategic initiatives.
- Build long-term partnerships focused on Partner retention, satisfaction, and continued growth.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through consultative engagement.
- Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to develop strategies that improve Partner performance and drive long-term growth.
- Support contract renewals and strategic business planning initiatives.
- Recognize emerging Partner needs and proactively recommend solutions that align with Capstone's service offerings.
- Help drive organic revenue growth within existing accounts.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Business Development, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment across Partner initiatives.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to deliver exceptional Partner outcomes.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and execute strategic initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts that enhance both Partner experience and operational performance.
Partner Success
- Monitor overall health of assigned partnerships and proactively address potential risks.
- Ensure consistent communication between Capstone leadership and Partner executives.
- Foster a Partner-first culture centered on responsiveness, transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Represent Capstone during Partner meetings, site visits, executive presentations, and industry events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel approximately 60–75%, including overnight travel.
- Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline as business needs require.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during Partner meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to work within warehouse and distribution center environments while complying with all required safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience within logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, retail, or a related industry.
- Experience managing enterprise or national Partner relationships across multiple locations or regions.
- Demonstrated success building executive-level relationships with strategic Partners.
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to interpret operational and business performance metrics.
- Experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 or large enterprise-level organizations.
- Multi-site operational leadership experience.
