Project Manager - Owner's Representative Construction Management

Local candidates preferred. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Diego area, as this position requires regular attendance at client meetings and project sites throughout San Diego County.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing San Diego team.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects while engaging directly with clients, design professionals, contractors, and public agencies. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for guiding projects from planning and design through construction and closeout.


What You'll Do

  • Represent owners' interests throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and overall project performance.
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Oversee estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and project controls.
  • Manage procurement processes, bid administration, and contract development.
  • Monitor project financials and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality and schedule objectives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout design, permitting, construction, and project closeout.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience involving commercial, hospitality, public works, and civic projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, estimating, scheduling, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using MS Project, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and build strong client relationships.

Preferred

  • Experience working for an Owner's Representative firm, developer, or developer-builder.
  • Experience managing both vertical construction and civil/infrastructure projects.
  • Proven success in coordinating and managing design consultants and contractors.
  • Familiarity with public agency processes and development-related approvals.
