Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and hands-on Ecommerce & Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day execution, management, and optimization of Greenwich St. Jewelers' digital commerce experience across Shopify Plus, Email, and SMS.
Reporting to the Ecommerce & Marketing Director, this individual contributor role will have significant ownership across ecommerce operations, site merchandising, lifecycle marketing, testing and optimization, performance reporting, and digital project management. The Manager will partner closely with internal creative resources, external developers, and digital agency partners to translate strategic priorities into high-quality digital experiences that support engagement, conversion, and revenue.
The ideal candidate combines strong ecommerce expertise, operational rigor, creative sensibility, and analytical thinking. They are proactive, highly detail-oriented, comfortable making data-informed recommendations, and capable of independently managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and execution and is comfortable taking ownership from concept and briefing through implementation, analysis, and optimization.
This is an on-site role requiring five days per week in our New York City office.
Core Responsibilities
Ecommerce Strategy & Site Experience
- Own the day-to-day ecommerce experience across Shopify Plus, ensuring the site is accurate, compelling, on-brand, and optimized for conversion across desktop and mobile.
- Partner with the Ecommerce & Marketing Director to translate broader business and marketing strategy into ecommerce initiatives and site experiences.
- Lead site merchandising and digital execution for key commercial moments, including Holiday, Sale, Collaborations, product launches, and other strategic initiatives.
- Leverage site performance, customer behavior, and merchandising data to identify opportunities and make actionable recommendations.
- Own weekly and monthly ecommerce performance and merchandising reporting, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas requiring optimization.
- Develop and manage ongoing testing and optimization initiatives across merchandising, content, navigation, and site experience.
- Ensure press, promotional mentions, campaigns, and other brand moments are appropriately reflected throughout the website.
Site Merchandising & Operations
- Own the creation, merchandising, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of collection pages.
- Conduct regular audits of designer collections, Top Navigation, PDPs, and other key site areas to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
- Drive ongoing PDP optimization ensuring content is both consistent and up to date, while looking for opportunities to further enhance storytelling, product education, cross-selling, and UX.
- Manage product imagery updates, alternate metal photography, merchandising adjustments, and related site content.
- Identify opportunities to improve navigation, product discovery, merchandising, and the overall customer journey.
- Maintain a high standard of site accuracy and proactively troubleshoot ecommerce issues as they arise.
Email & SMS
- Own the monthly creative briefing process for Email Campaigns, Flows, and SMS.
- Develop campaign briefs, write copy, select imagery, and coordinate creative asset requirements with internal partners.
- Partner with the Ecommerce & Marketing Director and Graphic Designer to move campaigns from concept through final execution.
- Manage segmentation, scheduling, send-time optimization, and A/B testing strategies.
- Own Email and SMS performance reporting and provide recommendations based on campaign, flow, customer, and engagement data.
- Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle marketing performance, customer engagement, and retention through ongoing testing and optimization.
Photography & Digital Asset Management
- Manage ecommerce photography requirements and digital asset workflows to ensure product and campaign imagery needs are identified and completed on schedule.
- Maintain and prioritize photography shot lists based on ecommerce and marketing needs.
- Coordinate product availability and organization for scheduled photography.
- Partner with internal creative resources to ensure completed imagery is web-ready, appropriately organized, and implemented across PDPs and marketing channels.
- Ensure product imagery and alternate views are properly ordered and optimized across the website.
Agency, Developer & Digital Project Management
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for external developers and digital agency partners on ecommerce initiatives.
- Create, prioritize, assign, and follow up on developer tickets covering feature requests, visual issues, promotions, site updates, new themes, and ongoing enhancements.
- Attend digital agency meetings alongside the Ecommerce & Marketing Director and take ownership of follow-up, execution, and project coordination.
- Manage digital project timelines and proactively identify risks, dependencies, or delays.
- Evaluate agency and developer recommendations and partner with the Ecommerce & Marketing Director on prioritization and implementation.
- Own site updates supporting SEO and Paid Media initiatives, including collection creation, merchandising, landing destinations, and linking strategy.
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives to maintain alignment, accountability, and timely execution.
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor ecommerce, Email, and SMS performance using Shopify Analytics, Klaviyo Analytics, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and other available reporting tools.
- Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Identify trends in site behavior, merchandising performance, campaign engagement, and conversion.
- Establish and manage ongoing testing initiatives to improve customer experience and digital performance.
- Communicate key findings, opportunities, and recommendations to the Ecommerce & Marketing Director.
Qualifications & Skill Summary
- 5+ years of professional ecommerce and/or digital marketing experience, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, fine jewelry, beauty, or another high-touch consumer brand.
- Advanced hands-on Shopify Plus experience, including products, variants, collections, merchandising, navigation, PDP optimization, and site content management.
- Advanced Klaviyo experience across campaigns, flows, segmentation, scheduling, testing, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising, conversion optimization, customer journey, and UX best practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing Email and SMS campaigns and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret ecommerce and marketing performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices for ecommerce content, merchandising, linking, and site structure.
- Experience managing relationships and projects with developers, agencies, creative partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership without requiring significant day-to-day direction.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on individual contributor capacity within a lean, collaborative team environment.
- Experience within fine jewelry or luxury retail is strongly preferred.

- Strong proficiency with ecommerce and digital performance analytics, including Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with Microsoft Clarity or similar user behavior and website optimization tools
- Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Basecamp, or comparable tools
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar image-editing software
- Familiarity with additional ecommerce, CRM, Email/SMS, SEO, or digital marketing platforms
Salary & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $90,000 - $105,000, commensurate with experience
- 15 paid vacation days and 5 sick/personal days per year
