Emergency Room Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality emergency care across a diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, deliver direct patient care, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical judgment, documentation, patient education, and safety practices are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform systematic and comprehensive patient assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Provide direct emergency nursing care and demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, changing conditions, and immediate clinical needs.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient progress, and education in the medical record.
• Administer medications, perform clinical interventions, and follow established nursing policies and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and promote a safe, professional, patient-centered care environment.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Cardiac nursing.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required for pediatric ER assignments.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, emergency response, documentation, and communication skills.

Important Details:

• 51-week contract position
• Shift is 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) and commit to up to 3 shifts per week. 36 hours/week

• Pay Rate for Local: $55 - $60 Hourly
• Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,350 - $2,400 Weekly
