Financial Analyst

A well-established organization in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, business analysis, and executive decision-making. This role is responsible for evaluating financial performance, preparing and enhancing reports, reviewing profit and loss statements and balance sheets, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly financial results, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
• Prepare, update, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and executive reporting packages.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key business trends and performance drivers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end financial reporting processes.
• Develop ad hoc financial reports and analyses for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Operations teams to improve reporting accuracy and overall business performance.
• Recommend process improvements, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiencies across finance functions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial reporting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• MUST HAVE construction experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables
• XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
• Power Query
• Financial Modeling
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Experience within construction or another project-based industry is a plus.
