About Douglas Sales Associates
Douglas Sales Associates is a third-generation, family-owned food brokerage serving the New York & New Jersey Metro market since 1957. As a boutique brokerage, we partner with leading food and beverage manufacturers, retailers, and distributors to drive sales growth, execute category strategies, and build lasting customer relationships.
Our team represents a diverse portfolio of brands across grocery, frozen, snack, specialty, and beverage categories, working with many of the region's largest retailers. We pride ourselves on providing hands-on service, deep industry expertise, and strong partnerships that have fueled our success for nearly 70 years.
About the Opportunity
Are you interested in sales, business development, account management, marketing, entrepreneurship, or the food industry?
Douglas Sales Associates is seeking a motivated and ambitious intern to gain hands-on experience in the world of food brokerage and consumer packaged goods (CPG).
This is not your typical internship. Rather than working in a single department, you'll gain exposure to the relationships, strategy, and execution that connect food manufacturers, retailers, and distributors. Working directly with our leadership team, you'll learn how brands grow their business with some of the largest retailers in the New York & New Jersey Metro market.
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn both sides of the business—supporting customer accounts while also working closely with manufacturers and brand partners. Interns will gain practical experience in sales, analytics, merchandising, business development, and account management while developing a strong understanding of how products make their way from manufacturer to shelf.
The schedule can be structured around college classes and academic commitments. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to continue working with Douglas Sales Associates beyond the fall semester on a part-time basis, including during future semesters and school breaks.
