General Manager- Multifamily Construction

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead regional operations, drive profitability, and oversee both field and office teams. This leadership role is responsible for operational performance, customer satisfaction, financial results, business development, and team growth while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all regional operations and administrative functions
- Lead and develop operations, project management, and sales teams
- Drive project profitability through effective cost control, estimating, purchasing, subcontract management, and invoicing
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
- Hire, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a positive team culture
- Support sales and operations by resolving complex project, contract, and customer issues
- Assign projects and balance workloads across teams
- Review and approve vendor and subcontractor qualifications and performance
- Partner with regional and national sales teams to drive business growth
- Develop new client relationships within the multifamily construction market
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication
- Review contracts, monitor project progress, and oversee billing and collections
- Investigate and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally
- Review weekly operational and sales performance reports
Qualifications
- Construction industry experience required; multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
- Experience with Procore, Sage, NAV, or similar construction management software preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities
- Proven ability to make sound business decisions and solve complex operational challenges
- Experience managing multiple teams, projects, and client relationships in a fast-paced construction environment
